Australian Open 2024
The Australian Open is the first Grand Slam of the tennis season. It is played on hard courts at the Melbourne Park in the city of Melbourne. The tournament was founded in 1905, and until 1987, it was played on grass.
In 2023, Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open men's singles final, and in the process, extended his record as the player with the most Australian Open singles titles (10). On the women's side, the singles final went Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka's way, making it her first Grand Slam.
2024 is set to be yet another stellar year in the history of the Australian Open. All eyes will be on the tournament from January 14, more so because of the participation of multiple high-profile comebacks. On the men's side, Rafael Nadal is all geared up to return to action after almost a year of missing competitive tennis. On the women's side, Naomi Osaka should light up the Melbourne Park with her aggressive style of play
