The problem of copyright claims on YouTube is something that creators have talked about for a long time now. A lot of YouTubers carefully go through their content to avoid such claims. This usually is related to background music on their streams. Therefore, it is not a common occurrence regarding Fortnite YouTubers.
Popular Fortnite YouTuber SypherPK recently tweeted about someone claiming his Fortnite videos. Therefore, he resolved that he is “not going to stand for this attempted robbery.”
Some company is trying to claim my Fortnite videos as their videos and filing copyright claims.
They claimed the entire video from 0:00 – 10:01 😂

Company tries to claim SypherPK’s Fortnite videos
A company by the name of Vector Screen Network has claimed Sypher’s video. Moreover, the company didn’t just claim a part of it, but rather the whole video from 00:00 to 10:01. As a result, YouTube denied Sypher any revenue for the video. Instead, the platform gave the revenue to the company rather than the creator.
The sensitive issue enraged Sypher, who plans on taking action. People often accuse YouTube of handling the issue of copyright claims in a biased manner. A lot of times, YouTube favors claimants. Therefore, it might be a long battle for Sypher if he aims to get any justice for the same.

Sypher referred to the videos in plural, which means this isn’t an isolated instance. The reason behind the company claiming Sypher’s video remains shrouded in mystery for now. A quick Google search of Vector Screen Network reveals it’s a content management company, which has a history of doing claiming videos of creators.
There are movements and channels dedicated against the company due to their practice of claiming video of creators without a valid justification.
Sypher opened up about how the pandemic has affected his YouTube career in an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports.

“I think, one of the biggest challenges has been disconnecting, actually. Because I’m always I’m always live, I’m always thinking about YouTube. And before the pandemic, you know, I used to, you know, schedule dinners with the wife, we used to go to the dog park, go to our favorite movie theatre and watch a movie.”
With the absence of a coping mechanism, hopefully the streamer recovers from these targeted claims.
