Ashwin made his debut for India in November 2011 and has been India’s main strike bowler in Test cricket for the last three years. He may not be the first choice in limited-overs, but Virat Kohli can depend on him in Test cricket.
After struggling in the seaming friendly pitch during the Kolkata Test, Ashwin was in his element in Nagpur helping India dominate Sri Lanka. He bagged four wickets in the first innings and then tore through the lower order.
