Lalit Modi, the man who commercialised cricket in India and turned the noble game into a money-making propaganda, has yet again created hustle by making an allegation against three players.

The former president of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has alleged that during the earlier seasons of IPL, three famous players of the Chennai Super Kings had been bribed by a bookmaker, who is actually an Indian real-estate tycoon.

The three names given by Lalit Modi are that of Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja who are famous faces of Indian cricketer and the Caribbean sensation Dwayne Bravo.

London-based Modi tweeted a letter he claims to have written to International Cricket Council (ICC) CEO Dave Richardson in June 2013, passing on “some information that I have just got.” As per the sources, Lalit Modi also revealed that he has told the CEO that he could pass on the information to the anti-corruption and security unit of the ICC, if the need so aroused.

Lalit Modi then revealed the names of the players, whom he believed were in the close contact of the tycoon and also that he had written in his letter. Modi added that his “reliable sources” had told that the tycoon had paid these players in both cash and kind, but hoped  it not to be true. He ended by saying, “I hope this is not true but if true it could mean more are involved.”
