Simone's got skills!

Biles already has 4 elements named after her in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Code of Points: Biles, Biles II on the floor, Biles on the balance beam, and Biles on the vault. Now, she has added another to her impressive repertoire: “Biles II” on vault with Yurchenko double pike.

Biles’ Vault Goes Down in History

Although Biles first showcased the YDP in 2021, she had never done it at an international event, which is required for a skill to be named after a gymnast. However, that changed during the Women’s Qualifications Day 1.

Simone Biles is 'immortal'

Now, Biles is the first female gymnast to execute a YDP internationally. Congratulating the gymnast, @femalequotient wrote, "Gold medals are fine. Having 5 gymnastics moves with your name on it is immortal", on their official IG handle.
