Overcoming High-Pressure Situation, Texan Equestrian Reaches New Heights at the Talent Search Finals- East

The Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Finals – East concluded on 7 October. Which of the four riders, Luke Jensen, Carlee McCutcheon, Joe Craver, and Amira Kettaneh, jumped high enough to win?

The battle of Four

The four athletes started on a score of zero for phase IV and rode throughout four rounds to determine the final placings. When the race concluded, Jensen was announced as the Champion.

Luke Jensen Rides to Victory

Jensen rode Morgan Wilsberg's 2016 Oldenburg mare 'Calina M' until Phase 3. In phase 4, after a mandatory horse swap, he came out on top with a 375.0 to earn the French Leave Trophy, with Jensen’s trainer, Missy Clark, achieving the Leading Trainer Award.

Champion's Journey

"The horse swap," Jensen noted, "is the most difficult part of the week. To ride a horse for two minutes and then prepare to jump a course is always tricky, but that challenge makes it my favorite part of the week". "It's very special to be successful here and something I'll never forget," he added.
