Make-a-Wish Foundation Gives Hope to Ailing 14-Year-Old Equestrian, Makes a Long-Time Dream Come True

Early in the summer of 2022, Kailey Paul’s life turned upside down. Whilst preparing for a horse show in her hometown Albany, New York, Kailey was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. So understanding Kailey's passion for horses, her parents had secretly planned to fulfil her long-time dream with the help of the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Kailey Paul’s dream come true moment

As Kailey and her family visited the Lake Placid Horse Show, Make-A-Wish Northeast New York surprised them with a custom jacket fitting made by Charles Ancona - a renowned equestrian-wear designer.

'I always dreamed of this but..'

Overjoyed and in disbelief, Kailey exclaimed, “I always dreamed of this but I never thought it would actually happen. This is just amazing. I am still in shock.”

Equestrianism for Solace

Despite challenges, the Equestrian faced the tribulations head-on, and recently completed her treatments for a brain tumor. Throughout her therapy, Kailey continued to compete in horse shows, crediting it for providing relaxation and solace. Commendable isn't it?
