Shaquille O'Neal really admires other players and different sports. Additionally, he isn't gushing about Stephen Curry this time. He was particularly taken by Olga Korbut. Olga Korbut is a well-known gymnast from Belarus who has been given several nicknames, including the "Sparrow from Minsk" and the "Darling of Munich." During her career in the 1970s, she earned two silver medals and four gold medals in the Olympics.
Years later, one of her show-stopping movements was making the online rounds. The 'Dead Loop,' a manoeuvre that is forbidden in competitive gymnastics, has only ever been performed by Korbut. Her Olympic performance from 1972 is still a hot issue, and Shaq mentioned it on his feed.
Only once in public did she do the Dead Loop. Because obtaining that 10 may be extremely hazardous to the gymnast, it was prohibited from official gymnastics. A minor slip-up might have disastrous repercussions, including head, neck, or spinal injuries that could ruin your career. O'Neal uploaded the video to Instagram Stories and shared it with his 31.9 million followers. He didn't contribute anything to it or provide any further perspective.
Nonetheless, those of his followers who haven’t seen Korbut’s artistry had their jaws on the floor. Some looked inspired to try gymnastics or encourage a loved one to take it up. “This is so unbelievable to watch. I remember what a phenom she was,” one fan claimed. Another user wrote, “Honestly the highest honor is to have a rule/ban because of you.”
