"Its Difficult But We Make Time to Spend Together": Ex-Wife Juanita, Who Got $168 Million Richer After Divorce With Michael Jordan, Unveiled How She "Kept The Family Together"

During the 1990s, Michael Jordan was one of the most famous names in the world, not only for his time on the basketball court but also for his business expertise. His career was at its peak when he was named one of the highest-paid athletes in the NBA. In 1998, his performances became so popular that viewership numbers peaked at around 29 million per game. We saw an example of this back when he retired from the Chicago Bulls for a second time and viewership of the Finals after he left plunged by 45%.

The NBA didn’t even come close to Jordan’s numbers in the two years after that. In those days, Jordan was at the height of his fame and popularity. In the documentary series The Last Dance, we can see glimpses of that time. While MJ was famous in those days, it did come with some disadvantages as well.

During a rare 1992 interview with Juanita, Jordan’s first wife, she recalled some of the instances when they encountered difficulty. According to her, Jordan was forced into spending millions simply due to his fans refusing to give him any privacy.

During his NBA career, he became famous around the world for his performances on the court. In addition to that, he made a huge amount of money through the endorsements he did. Jordan reportedly made $1.7 billion (pre-tax) in endorsements over the past four decades.

In the interview, Juanita discussed the problems they faced because of this popularity and how it affected their children. “Right now we really don’t have any privacy where we are in. We constantly have people coming to the house and they are asking for autographs and it’s difficult. They come to the door, they ring the bell,” she said. In addition, Juanita mentioned: “That’s where I draw the line.. at home.”

Additionally, she said "Its Difficult But We Make Time to Spend Together": In addition, Juanita, Jordan's ex-wife, revealed how she kept their families together.

This wasn’t the only time they were not given privacy, as fans and the media continued to frequently cover them all over the place. In addition, she spoke about how they struggled to maintain privacy when traveling, visiting places, or spending time together.
