What happened?

Earlier in the show, Elliott briefly mentioned the road he took on his way back into the Oval, practicing on simulators while understanding the iconic Martinsville Speedway. After this the host had a peculiar question for the driver, citing a documentary featuring ace free-soloist Mark LeClaire, Pat compared the adventure sport to the fast lanes of NASCAR.

Chase and Pat share some banter

“Watching those humans operate is like, oh they have no fear, do you feel like you’re one of those types of people?” he asks. To which a cool yet witty Elliott replied, “No, I think it’s very different, I dont think you’re gonna find me free climbing a icy canyon anytime soon.” Commenting on Elliott, Pat said, “You’re soft,” Elliott said, “Definitely soft, you gotta be a little messed up I think to find that fun, right?”

Who was Chase’s replacement?

With their ace driver out due to an unfortunate accident, fracturing his left leg, Hendrick Motorsports had to come up with a proper replacement and they had just the guy for that. Josh Berry is the man who came in replacing Elliott, as a full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series driver.
