South Africa’s fast bowler Dale Steyn entered the 400 Test wickets club today, after dismissing Bangladeshi star opener Tamim Iqbal on the opening day of second Test match in Dhaka. Steyn is now the second-highest wicket-taker in Tests for South Africa, trailing by 21 wickets to the retired fast bowler Shaun Pollock.
The 32-year-old fast bowler achieved this feat after captain Hashim Amla caught Tamim Iqbal in Steyn’s third over of the match. Steyn, playing his 80th Test match became the 13th bowler in Test cricket history to achieve the record of 400 or more wickets.

The fierce fast bowler achieved the landmark in quick time as he joined Richard Hadlee for the second-fastest bowler to take 400 dismissals.
Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and England fast bowler James Anderson are the only other two active bowlers who have taken more than 400 wickets.
There are surely another 2-3 years of competitive cricket left in Dale Steyn and his fans all over the world would love to see him rattling the batsmen across the globe for the coming years.
Kudos Steyn!
