Victor Wembanyama arguably has all the makings of instilling fear in his opponents. The 7’4″ teen prodigy has impressed both players and basketball fans alike. His arrival to the NBA is much anticipated, as his recent performances have heightened expectations. To add fuel to the fire, a wild photograph of Wembanyama has grabbed a lot of eyeballs. So much so an NBA fan wrote, “Stephen Curry may never make another three-pointer“.

The photo showed Victor Wembanyama with an outstretched hand in mid-air with his fingers barely touching the ball, but still very much in control. His opponent seems to come up short, in every sense of the term.

For the 6’2″ NBA champion, three-pointers have never been a tall order. In fact, Stephen Curry has lit up several courts with his reliable shooting sprees. Considering he is still an active player, that record has no full stop. But fans questioned reality following the unbelievable picture of Victor Wembanyama.

Many have already tagged Wembanyama as the next superstar in the making. According to Sports Illustrated, “While Wembanyama doesn?t have the highest vertical leap (not that he needs to, anyways), he has an incredible level of hangtime for his size, which allows him to maneuver mid-air to correct misses, protect the ball from getting spiked by rim protectors and find the open space to convert difficult lay-ups.

The French basketball player, who will turn 19 on the 4th of January, already claimed his All-Star MVP award in the French league on Thursday night. He became the youngest player to ever win the title. Wembanyama had been averaging 22.9 points and 9.6 rebounds.

Predictions suggest that Victor Wembanyana would dominate the No.1 overall pick for next season’s NBA draft. While many have noted that Wembanyama is a generational talent, he too is acutely aware of what he brings to the table.
