The whole of India was excited when they saw a young guy from Kerala was bowling fast with aggression (which sometimes exceeded a limit). Sreesanth was bowling fast and swinging the ball, which made people think if he was the future. But like many (or few actually) fast bowling talents in India, consistency remained a problem.
While handling him was a problem, things went? increasingly out of hand when he, after an IPL match in , admitted of match fixing.
It was when Sreesanth, along with fellow players Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila, and 38 people in total, were charged with a conspiracy to launder money under MCOCA. Because betting was never allowed in India, there was no law on match-fixing and hence the money laundering case- with which Dawood Ibrahim was also charged.

After serving his ban, Sreeshant, as he had said many times, is now back to practice. A video of him bowling to Sachin Baby came out on Twitter, where he went through the Kerala batsman, giving a glimpse of his early days in cricket.

Sreesanth has represented India across all three formats. He has played 53 One Day Internationals where he picked up 75 wickets and 10 T20 Internationals with nine wickets. In Test matches, he represented India 27 times, picking up 87 wickets. One of his motivations, in fact to come back, was completing his career with 100 wickets. He has also previously expressed his desire of playing under the current Indian captain Virat Kohli, which he would enjoy given how Kohli loves to attack with the pacers.
