Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is one of the most awaited titles this year. In Marvel’s cinematic universe, Miles Morales is already a very popular character, thanks to the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie. Apart from brilliant animations and a captivating storyline, one of the biggest highlights in the movie was Miles Morales’ suit. The developers at Insomniac Games took the challenge to recreate it in the game, and it seems like they’ve done it brilliantly.

Marvel’s Entertainment recently uploaded an 11-minute gameplay video:

Spider-Man: Miles Morales gameplay has outstanding details and animations

The gameplay almost feels unreal because of the animations. The developers certainly have done an outstanding job of enhancing the details in the game. While swinging his way across the city, Miles does a lot of the tricks that we saw in the movie. Interestingly, the developers have intentionally reduced the game’s frame rate while swinging, just to match the movie. However, this is an optional feature and players can turn it off.

Miles is a neighborhood superhero and is still learning his role. Naturally, he hasn’t yet perfected his movements and Insomniac Games have taken care of that too. In the 11-minute gameplay video, there are several occasions where Miles stumbles upon a landing or hesitates while swinging.

During the fight scenes, there were comic book-styled word balloons that read “Zap!” and “Thonk!” Last, but not least, the suit in the game is a replica of the suit in the movie. Along with the other additions, it’s safe to say that Spider-Man Miles Morales resembles the movie in an iconic fashion.

Marvel, as a franchise itself, has a global fan base and Spider-Man is one of the biggest reasons for it. The character has been a fan-favorite since the very early comic-book days. Marvel collaborated with Sony in 2018 to develop Marvel’s Spider-Man, and the game was an enormous success. With Spider-Man: Miles Morales, both the franchises have come together again to deliver what will hopefully be another masterpiece.

Until now, the community seems satisfied with the game, and the developers at Insomniac Games deserve all the adulation and appreciation. However, Xbox users who love Spider-Man must be facing a serious dilemma right now. The title is exclusive to the PS4 and the PS5, and it will compel a lot of customers to buy a PS5, instead of an Xbox.
