Just like any other Pokémon game, speedrunners have already posted some amazing times. Earlier this week, some players even made times of sub-one hour. However, recently, another player shattered that record by posting a jaw-dropping time to beat the game.

YouTuber posts impressive Pokémon Shining Pearl speedrun time

Earlier today, YouTuber Werster showed off his speedrunning skills by posting his speedrun to beat Pokémon Shining Pearl. His speedrun had an eye-popping time of 33 minutes and 10 seconds. As of the of writing, he currently holds the world record for an any% speedrun in the latest Nintendo Switch title developed by ILCA. Werster’s been posting some superb runs on the game with his first sub-one hour run arriving earlier this week. Yesterday, he even posted a run of 37 minutes and 27 seconds.

Werster’s latest run, which came around 33 minutes, has been the game’s best so far. Even though the game dropped on November 19, speedrunners have posted some impressive times, thanks to all the glitches and bugs present in it. While viewing his run, fans can see all the crazy tricks he used to forego a lot of battles and matches. This includes completely skipping over a lot of the trainer battles, which normal players have taken part in a lot.

An average player on Pokémon Shining Pearl would require somewhere around 24 hours of playing time to beat the game. However, it’s so cool to see some speedrunners take advantage of the many bugs and glitches present in it to beat the game with crazy times.

From skipping matches to even turning off sounds to stop jingles from loading, it seems like Werster has used every possible trick in the game to post his world record run. With the way the community’s finding new glitches to improve runs, another player might post an even crazier time. However, as of right now, Werster holds the trophy of the world’s fastest speedrun for Pokémon Shining Pearl.
