While Sony is making the right moves in the early process of making a movie, it is also a precarious one. Live-action adaptations of a manga series are by no means an easy task. Back in 2017 Netflix adapted the immensely popular anime, Death Note into a live-action movie. Not only did it fail to garner much interest, but it was also panned by critics.
