Wrexham made their historic return to the League Two division of English football as they faced MK Dons on the 5th of August. Fans in attendance hoped for a stunning performance from their team. While Wrexham did manage to put on a good display, the team emerged on the wrong side of an eight-goal thriller losing 5-3 to MK Dons.
Owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were both present for the team’s historic game. The duo were joined by Ryan’s Deadpool 3 co-star and longtime friend Hugh Jackman. While fans were a tad disappointed with the result, Jackman left with a smile on his face.

The X-Men superstar was a part of the fans cheering Wrexham in their opening game of the season. While the team did take a loss in their first game, Hugh was happy with the game at the end. Jackman was seen talking to some reporters as he was leaving the Racecourse Ground.

Despite the loss, Wrexham will be eager to bounce back and get some wins in their coming games. The team will be up against League One side Wigan Athletic in their upcoming game in the EFL Cup Round first round.

Wrexham needs to gear up for the coming games
While it is pretty sure that the players at Wrexham wanted to start off their campaign with a win, the team will have to shed the loss and focus on their upcoming games. With the team is set to face Wigan Athletic and AFC Wimbledon in their next two games. The team will have to be in their best shape.
Wrexham, in the absence of their ace, Paul Mullins failed to create the pressure in the attacking third. With the player still recovering from his injury, the other players in the squad will have to rise up to the occasion. Skipper Ben Tozer and veteran Ben Foster will have additional responsibilities on their shoulders in the next few games, as two more defeats could turn the mood sour.
