The young American joined AC Milan from Chelsea earlier this summer after a frustrating few seasons with the Blues. USMNT star Christian Pulisic started Milan’s Serie A opener against Bologna and set the scene on fire in the early minutes of the first half.

With new signing Samuel Chukwueze on the bench, the American was handed the first start of the season. Pulisic started on the right wing, with Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao partnering in the attack. The 24-year-old attacker contributed to two goals for Milan within the first quarter of the game. Pulisic played a defense-splitting pass at the 11th-minute mark, which led to Olivier Giroud’s opener for Milan. He then doubled Milan’s lead 10 minutes later with a stunning strike from the edge of the penalty area, ensuring his debut to be a memorable one.

The American’s performance was well received by his fellow countryman and former USMNT star midfielder, Stuart Holden. He quickly reacted to the goal, praising Pulisic for his performance on the field. He tweeted a video of the goal scored by the USMNT star by quoting “Pulisic WOW. Stunner from outside the box on his Milan Debut.”
