The Prime Minister expressed his support for the Canadian actor’s idea to invest in the national prosperity of the UK, also bringing film opportunities to the smaller economy, like Wales.

The UK Prime Minister applauded the co-owners of Red Dragons for their positive impact on the club and the town of Wrexham. The efforts of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to bring the 4th-tier club back to the English Football League were remarkable and had a significant impact on the team. Rishi Sunak said, “We talked about Wrexham, the impact it’s had on the community, and his plans to do more in the UK”.

Reynold’s meeting with the Prime Minister also included discussions about his interest in investing in the UK and engaging in film production in Wales amid the ongoing strike. Ryan has demonstrated his commitment to not only Wrexham but his wider interest in investing in the UK more generally”. Meanwhile, the UK PM extolled the performance of National League winners in their recent warm-up games.
