After years of mediocrity, Wrexham is finally making big strides. They will be facing Mickey’s former teams Chelsea and Manchester United. The legend is super stoked and is proud of the progress Wrexham has made under Ryan and Rob.

“It is incredible to say that Wrexham is now playing Chelsea and Manchester United, who are two of my former teams,” said Mickey“You have to give Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds a large amount of respect for making it happen. They’ve completely sold out the Chelsea game, which says a lot,” exclaimed Thomas grinning with pride.

Wrexham ended last season on a high with a record-breaking points total of 111 points. They also ended their 15-year absence from the EFL. After a crackling season, expectations are bound to soar. Luckily for Wrexham fans, their team is leaving no stone unturned in preparation for the upcoming season.

A couple of days before, the Red Dragons flew to the USA for a pre-season tour involving four teams. The teams include Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United along with LA Galaxy II and Philadelphia Union II. The Ryan Reynolds-owned team with start the tour with a high-profile clash with Chelsea at the Kenan Memorial Stadium, Chapel Hill, on Wednesday, July 19. They will then take on LA Galaxy II on the 22nd of July, Manchester United on the 25th of July, and end the tour with a clash against Philadelphia Union II on July 28.
