The Real Madrid team from the last decade undeniably consisted of some of the most talented bunch of players to have ever graced a football pitch. While the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Casemiro, and Karim Benzema are still plying their trade at the top level, certain players like Isco have endured a rough patch in the last few years.

The Spanish jewel Isco was amongst the most creative players of his generation. As age and injuries caught up with him, the Spaniard saw an exit from the Los Blancos. He then joined reigning Europa League champions Sevilla but things got even worse for him with disturbing reports coming from the player’s side about his stint there.

Isco left Real Madrid last season and joined Sevilla on a free transfer last season. The player expected to solve Sevilla’s creative woes failed to live upto the request owing to multiple reasons. While his on field stint was tumultous, it’s now come to light that his off field experience was even worse.

In a stunning expose, the Spaniard revealed how Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi forced his lawyer to terminate his contract without the player’s knowledge. “Monchi said I wanted to leave, he pestered my lawyer every day to sign the termination without even telling me,” revealed Isco.

Upon confrontation, Monchi apparently grabbed the Spaniard by his neck. A ruckus ensued which led to Isco leaving the club in December last year. “I told him he was the most lying person I have ever met in football and he assaulted me. He came towards me, grabbed me by the neck, we pulled away and they had to separate us. After that, I wanted to leave,” stunningly revealed Isco.

What’s next for Isco?

After a deadline day transfer failure to Union Berlin earlier this year, the former Real Madrid man hasn’t played for any club. The Spaniard also hasn’t been in the news much until his recent interview with Marca where he revealed his future plans. Isco revealed his plans to return to the field. He wants to prove to the world that he still has it.
