Manchester United fans went wild after Marcus Rashford scored a last-gasp winner for the club against West Ham United. The club climbed to fourth place in the table temporarily, but the win has deeper implications after the altercation between Cristiano Ronaldo and Ralf Rangnick.

Ronaldo was subbed off in United’s last Premier League match against Brentford, and the Portuguese superstar wasn’t happy about it at all. United did go on to win the match by a scoreline of 3-1, with all three goals being scored by United academy graduates.

Cristiano Ronaldo wanted Rangnick to sub a youngster off

After the match against Brentford, United manager Ralf Rangnick revealed that Ronaldo wanted him to sub a youngster off and not him. However, Rangnick didn’t agree with that and said in another interview that the team is more important than any single player.

While Marcus Rashford scored the 3rd goal in that match against Brentford, the English star scored again this time around. He came on in the second half after being benched for academy graduate Anthony Elanga and tapped the ball in from three yards out.

In the end, the goal was vital for United’s Premier League campaign and the youngsters are performing well for the club. Rangnick’s substitutions are doing the trick and if Marcus Rashford finds his form back, United can go a long way this season, and so will Cristiano Ronaldo.
