FC Barcelona fans are rejoicing right now after their dominant win over Real Madrid in La Liga. Their forwards scored four goals, and their midfield was firing on all cylinders last weekend. Moreover, their defense, led by veteran Gerard Pique, kept a clean sheet.
It was a humiliating defeat for Real Madrid, who still sit at the top of the La Liga table, but won’t take this loss lightly. Manager Carlo Ancelotti got his tactics horribly wrong as he tried to change the team’s formation from the tried and tested 4-3-3 that they play usually.
However, the 4-4-2 that he tried turned into an indecipherable mess as no Real Madrid player knew what he had to do. The midfield was empty and Barca midfielders rejoiced and took control of the game from the start. They do deserve the plaudits they are getting, as the club has seen a turnaround.

Shakira thinks Gerard Pique is the best defender in the world
Gerard Pique had another world-class game, as he continues to perform for the club in the biggest matches. He has been exceptional every single time he has played against Real Madrid, and this time was no different. He was aided by the absence of Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, but he stemmed the little threat that Madrid possessed.
His game drew praise from all Barca fans, and his wife too. Popular singer, Shakira, went on to Twitter to call Pique the best center-back in the world. While that might be a massive stretch for some, it really was a great performance from the Spaniard.
“It’s not because he’s my husband, but he’s the best centre-back in the world,” Shakira said.

Real Madrid fans blame Carlo Ancelotti
Things weren’t so bright for fans of the Los Blancos, as this was one of the most humiliating defeats for the club in recent memory. Ancelotti changed his system to accommodate the absence of Benzema, but he set his team up to fail.
He had the likes of Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz on the bench who could’ve started as the number nine from the first minute, but instead, the Italian manager tried something new and failed.
