While the men’s team is struggling massively, the FC Barcelona women’s team is dominating. They won the league last season and added the UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy to their collection, after winning it for the first time in 2021.
As a result of their domestic dominance, fans of the women’s team are showing their support now. There’s a UEFA Women’s Champions League clash between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, a very high-profile game, on January 18th.
The tickets for the game sold out in three days, which is a huge accomplishment considering the fact that a total of 85,000 tickets were sold for the game in Camp Nou. It’s an amazing accomplishment and just shows how far women’s football has come in terms of support and marketability.

The Femeni and their dominance in Spain
The FC Barcelona women’s team has been bossing it in their league and putting up incredible numbers for a few seasons now. They have won the league for the last two seasons and have scored almost five goals every game for the entirety of those two years.

This season, the Femeni has played 17 league games, and they have managed to score an unbelievable 98 goals, while only conceding four. They haven’t dropped a single point yet, and have a lead of eight points over second-place Real Sociedad. It’ll be interesting to see if they can win every single league game this season.
