Sergino Dest is one of the most exciting young talents in the soccer world right now. The Barcelona right-back had a solid debut campaign last season. The American played a total of  44 games for Barcelona last season. In those 44 games, he scored 3 goals and had 1 assist.

While statistically his returns were not mind-blowing, his defensive contribution, as well as his offensive talent, was clearly on display. Sergino Dest now ranks 8th among the 20 year old soccer stars in market value.

According to transfermarkt, Sergino Dest’s current market value is 30 million euros. Amongst US men’s national team players, Dest is the 3rd most valuable player. Speaking about Dest’s playstyle and rankings, a senior TransferMarket official Tobias Blaseio said, “Dest highlighted that with a bit more experience and patience, he could become a success at Barça,”

“Tactically, he still has some deficiencies. But there is no doubt that he could develop into a world-class player at a stable environment/club,” Blaseio continued. “The tendency is that Dest is more of an attacking player and would be better off playing as a right midfielder with someone backing him up defensively.”
