Romeo Beckham debuts as a right-winger like father David Beckham
Romeo Beckham played the first ever professional game of his career this Sunday when he debuted for Fort Lauderdale CF. Fort Lauderdale CF is the reserve team of MLS side Inter Miami, whose owner is Romeo’s father, David Beckham.
While Romeo did not light up the pitch with his skills in his 79-minute stay, he showed some flashes of brilliance. He played wide and spammed a lot of crosses. Unfortunately, his crosses weren’t as accurate as his father was famous for.
Romeo Beckham combines well with Harvey Neville in his debut
Despite not contributing in tangible terms, Romeo Beckham showed glimpses of what he is capable of. He displayed great chemistry with Harvey Neville, former Manchester United defender Phil Neville’s son.

A sequence in the 57th minute saw Romeo Beckham drift onto the center of the pitch while executing a crisp touch and go sequence with Harvey. Romeo gave a well-weighted return pass to Harvey who took Romeo’s position in the right-wing. Neville then delivered a dangerous cross that was headed wide by a teammate.
Post-match, Romeo took to Instagram to express his gratitude for making his debut. “Blessed to have made my pro debut tonight for @fortlauderdalecf ❤️ full focus onto the next match 💪🏼” he said.
