Cristiano Ronaldo has been one of the top players in football for a while now. After a successful stint with Real Madrid, the Portuguese moved to Turin to play for Italian giants Juventus. The 5-time Ballon D’or winner has simply been fantastic for the club and has continued being a goal scoring machine.

With the Italian giants hit hard due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Juve are in a financial crisis. Given how high the wages of Ronaldo are, multiple media outlets have insisted that Juve are looking to off-load their superstar striker.

One of the rumored moves is a move back to the Spanish capital of Madrid. While Real are still one of the top teams in the La Liga, they haven’t been the same team offensively and have been linked to many big names including CR7. With Carlo Ancelotti reportedly interested Spanish media has been on a frenzy on Ronaldo rumors.

Pele reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo staying with Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo surely wasn’t the biggest fans of the ongoing rumors. The Portuguese superstar who only has a year left in his contract with Juve, but clarified that the latest rumors are absolutely false.

“More than the disrespect for me as a man and as a player, the frivolous way that my future is covered in the media is disrespectful to all the clubs involved in these rumours, as well as to their players and staff.”


“My story at Real Madrid has been written. It’s been recorded…… As well as this most recent episode in Spain, there have been frequent news and stories associating me with a number of clubs in many different Leagues, with nobody ever being concerned about trying to find out the actual truth.”

With Ronaldo making it clear that he is here to stay with the ‘Old Lady’, Brazilian legend Pele reacted to the same. Commenting on Ronaldo’s recent Instagram post, Pele wrote, “Nothing will erase your story.”

Ronaldo might have only a year left in his contract, but there is no doubting the impact he has had on Juventus. The leading scorer for Juve since his move, CR7 is a goal scoring machine and an essential piece to Juve’s offense. Inter have been significantly weakened after selling players like Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi. The 5-time Ballon D’or winner will hope that he can lead the ‘Old Lady’ back to a Serie A title.
