Juventus are currently struggling in Serie A, but many believe their troubles began a long time ago. Cristiano Ronaldo’s former team were a mess ever since his arrival in Italy, and despite winning two Serie A titles with the club, the old lady failed to do anything substantial in Europe.

Current Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri was sacked after Ronaldo’s first season at the club. However, they even sacked their next manager, Maurizio Sarri, a little after they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Lyon.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s altercation with Juan Cuadrado in the UCL

Juventus appointed club legend Andrea Pirlo next, and things went down from there. In the new Juventus All or Nothing documentary, some footage emerged where Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in an altercation with his Columbian teammate, Juan Cuadrado.

The incident occurred during last season’s UEFA Champions League Round-of-16 tie against Porto. Juventus were trying to overcome a first-leg deficit of 2-1 against the Portuguese club.

Ronaldo: “We have to work harder. What the F***! We didn’t play at all! Nothing!”

Cuadrado: “Don’t worry.”

Ronaldo: “We played s***, always!”

Cuadrado: “You must be an example for everyone.”

Ronaldo: “I’m included too. We have to tell each other the truth, we played s***. This is a Champions League match, we need to have personality.

Andrea Pirlo steps in to stop the fight

At this point, the club’s then-manager, Andrea Pirlo, interjected and said, “That’s enough, let’s go. That’s enough, Cri. That’s enough, Juan. We have to be calm and patient. We will continue in this spirit, but without arguing, with the posture of someone who wants to win.”

Despite Ronaldo and Cuadrado’s efforts, the game slipped away from Juventus and the club was knocked out of the UCL based on away goals. Sadly, Ronaldo left Juventus in the same year and Pirlo was fired as well.
