

Football is not only a sport, it’s an emotion. And throughout all these years, this beautiful game has delivered several strong messages all around the world. And yesterday during Everton’s match against Manchester City, we got another example of it.
After all the unfortunate events that have been going around in the world recently, the fans at Goodison Park took the stage to show their support for Ukraine.
Manchester City’s Ukrainian star Oleksandr Zinchenko was seen in tears as both the Premier League teams and the fans in the stadium showed their support for Ukraine before the kick-off.

Oleksandr Zinchenko wasn’t the only Ukrainian player in yesterday’s game. Everton‘s Vitaliy Mykolenko also looked emotional as the fans stood by Ukraine during these tough times.
These are really difficult times for both Zinchenko and Mykolenko and their friends and family. We hope everything is fine soon and they can once again fully concentrate on playing football.
Speaking about the match, it proved to be a very entertaining game. The home fans had the back of the Everton players as they faced the league leaders.
But after a lot of hard work and concentration, one mistake from Michael Keane allowed Phil Foden to score the winner from a close range, giving Pep Guardiola’s side the victory.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been a rising star in world football. He captained Ukraine on 24th March 2021 against France. At 24 years and 98 days, he became Ukraine’s youngest leader in their football history.
The Man City feft-back even played a crucial role in Ukraine’s Euro 2020 campaign.

However, this is also a great achievement for Zinchenko & Co. In Ukraine’s Round of 16 clash against Sweden, Oleksandr Zinchenko scored the first goal and assisted the second.

Ukraine reached the quarterfinals but failed to make the semis after suffering a disappointing 0-4 defeat against England. In 48 appearances for Ukraine so far, Zinchenko had delivered some impressive performances and also bagged 8 goals for his country.
