Manchester United lost to Manchester City in their derby match and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is on the verge of dropping to 10th place on the table. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team lost the match 0-2 in the end because of two defensive errors.

Courtesy of an own goal by Eric Bailly, City went ahead in the seventh minute of the match at Old Trafford. Joao Cancelo put in a cross from the left flank, which was turned into David de Gea’s net by the Ivorian’s outstretched leg.

City started attacking the goal from thereon. The Spanish goalkeeper made a few more astonishing saves. Unfortunately for the red half of Manchester, he couldn’t keep out Bernardo Silva’s meek strike just before halftime.

Luke Shaw’s error gives Manchester City a second goal in the Manchester Derby

This time around, Luke Shaw was the guilty party as he let the ball run to Bernardo Silva, just on the edge of the six-yard box. All Silva did was poke the ball inside De Gea’s near post. Despite him having covered the angle, the Spaniard couldn’t keep the ball out.

From that point on, City managed the match professionally and didn’t let United get a hold of the ball. City was in cruise control in the second half. They kept United at bay with nothing on offer for Bruno Fernandes or Cristiano Ronaldo.
