FC Barcelona continued their excellent run of form in La Liga as they beat Sevilla by a score of 1-0. It took a brilliant goal from Pedri to seal the deal, but it wasn’t the only chance of the match. However, amidst all the drama surrounding league positions, Ivan Rakitic stole the headlines.

The former FC Barcelona man stripped down to the bare minimum and gave every single piece of his clothing away to the fans. Barca fans still adore their former midfielder who was vital for them during the run to the 2015 UEFA Champions League title.

Rakitic has been known for interacting with fans after the matches, but this meeting takes the cake.

Ivan Rakitic and his time at FC Barcelona

The Croatian star joined Barca from Sevilla in 2014. Despite his box-to-box role, he had contributed 27 goals in over 100 games for Sevilla. Barcelona saw the midfielder’s potential and brought him in.

Rakitic didn’t disappoint and became a mainstay in the team along with Sergio Busquets and club legend Andres Iniesta. The peak of his time at Barca came in 2015 when Rakitic started in the UCL final against Juventus and opened the scoring in the 4th minute.

FC Barcelona ended up winning the entire thing, and Rakitic became one of the fan favorites in Catalonia. He finally left the club in 2020 and has been playing for Sevilla ever since.
