Despite not getting a result, a young girl had her dreams come true when she received CR7’s jersey. That lighted up the whole Aviva stadium with the Portuguese superstar displaying his humility.

Cristiano Ronaldo gifts jersey to a young girl
After the game ended in a draw, a young girl ran onto the pitch, crying, and wanting Ronaldo’s jersey. The girl probably would have been shocked to see her greatest icon up close, more so to receive a gift from Ronaldo himself.
It was a moment to savor for the young girl and the fans present in the stadium.

With Ronaldo playing in an Irish stadium, fans would have expected the net to bulge. But, the Irish defense executed their game-plan to perfection, frustrating the visitors who needed a victory. Although the little girl made her dreams come true, the young goalkeeper of Ireland, Gavin Bazunu, did not look very impressed.

Bazunu looked upset
Gavin Bazunu was in fine form when his team faced Portugal. In fact, he saved a penalty from Ronaldo. With the game ending 0-0, Bazunu ran to Ronaldo so that he could get his jersey in the tunnel.

However, the young girl came in and took it away, leaving the Portsmouth goalkeeper dejected. Cameras caught his reaction as he would have hoped to receive that jersey. Nonetheless, Bazunu would be delighted to share the pitch with the biggest superstar in soccer.
The next game against Serbia would be important for Portugal to qualify. Qatar World Cup would probably be the last time that Ronaldo and Messi would appear on the global stage and, hence, fans await the most exciting competition in the world.
