USWNT legend Carli Lloyd had announced her retirement after a successful 16-year career in August. Albeit, she still has a few matches left to play before she finally hangs up her boots.
Carli has represented the team four times at the mega Olympic games. Notably, she was a crucial part of the 3-time Olympic medal-winning team. She had clinched the gold in 2008 and 2012, and the bronze medal in the 2020 games with the team. In the first match after Tokyo Olympics 2020, Loyd scored a stunning 5 goals for Team USA. She might retire soon, but Carli is going to make her every match count.

Fresh off the Olympic podium, team USA women played against Paraguay. The Americans were thoroughly dominant and the final scoreline read 9-0 to the hosts.
Carli is going to play her last set of matches for team USA before her retirement. Two times Fifa Player of the year, Carli, as always, stunned everyone with her extremely dominant performance on the field.

Five goals out of the nine were by Carli Lloyd. Since the start, Lloyd made sure the team had the lead in their court, as she scored from a corner before the five-minute mark.
Lloyd ties USWNT single-game scoring record

The United States forward might be retiring soon, but nothing can stop her from breaking records. At the 61st minute of the match, Carli scored her fifth goal. Notably, in the first half of the match itself, she scored an astonishing four times.
Lloydâs hattrick was record breaking as she became the USWNT player with the most hattricks ever. The American legend also tied the record for the highest goals scored in a single match by an individual by netting 5 times. Sheâs also the third highest scorer in the USWNTâs all-time list.

Carli will play a few more friendly matches for USWNT before retiring. Lloyd will not leave any tables unturned as she takes to the field for the last few times.
