Arsenal’s fortunes have taken a turn for the better as their two wins in the Premier League have helped them get off the bottom of the table. While they were dead last with zero points after three games, Arsenal now sit in 13th place courtesy of a Martin Odegaard wonder-goal.

The Norwegian youngster scored a superb free-kick in Arsenal’s match against Burnley. The goal was the only one scored throughout the game and got Arsenal their second win of the season, taking their overall tally to six points from five games.

Arsenal hold on despite Burnley’s heroics.

The atmosphere at Arsenal might see a shift now with these two wins in the Premier League. There is no European football for the Gunners, and hence, all glory must be domestic this season. However, after three losses in a row, wins against Norwich City and Burnley will provide some respite.

Arsenal’s Brazilian centre-back Gabriel put in another excellent performance as Arsenal held on to their lead for dear life. Burnley created attack after attack as the home crowd buoyed them forward. There were a few moments of concern too. Burnley were awarded a penalty in the second half, which was overturned after a VAR check.

As a result, Odegaard’s first half free-kick was enough to ensure the three points for the North London Club.

Martin Odegaard puts in another impressive performance.

After a relatively uneventful 30 minutes, Bukayo Saka made a decisive run in the Burnley half. Ashley Westwood fouled Saka on the edge of the box, and Odegaard stepped up to take the freekick. He made no mistake and slotted it into the top left corner of Nick Pope’s goal.
