A manager’s job is one of the hardest jobs in all of football, with huge risks and very few rewards. As a result, very few managers get to stay at the top of the game for years, but ex-Barcelona man Pep Guardiola is one in a million, and his Manchester City team is one of the best in the world.
They have one of the best squads in the world, with world-class players in every position. City’s almost-infinite transfer kitty has helped Guardiola to shape the team, but his genius has elevated them to become the dominating force that they have become domestically.

Young Guardiola got some sick dance moves
Pep Guardiola started his career at FC Barcelona as a young player and spent 13 years at the club. He made his debut for the club when he was 19, and just 11 years after the release of Grease, an American musical romantic comedy starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
A video has surfaced of Guardiola dancing to the soundtrack of Grease when he was just starting out as a youngster. He’s enjoying himself and is frankly, a very good dancer.

Pep Guardiola and his all-conquering Manchester City team
Guardiola had already reached the pinnacle of club football in his third year as a manager, in 2009. He won the treble with FC Barcelona and then won the UEFA Champions League and La Liga again in 2011. He then moved to Bayern Munich, establishing a domestic dominance there before finally moving to Manchester City in 2016.
After a trophyless first season, Guardiola’s City went on to win the league three times and completed a domestic treble in 2018-19. They are on track to win the Premier League again this season, but it’s the UCL title that they are chasing.

City lost to Chelsea in last season’s UCL final and Guardiola will try his hardest to change the narrative and win it once and for all this season. It’ll be interesting to see if that will finally happen, but the chances are very high.
