Football is a beautiful sport and there’s no question about that. The game, time and again, has proved its worth and how much it means to those who adore it. Recently, Mexican team Atlas FC won the Liga MX title for the first time in 70 years.
Atlas Fc beat Club Leon in the final after the two-legged tie went down to penalties. The Mexican club triumphed with a score of 4-3 as their goalkeeper, Camilo Vargas, saved two penalties to secure a historic victory. Atlas striker Julio Furch calmly slotted the last penalty to give his side the deserving win.

Fans in the stadium went wild, as it has been a year of miracles for Atlas FC. The team barely kept it all together to survive in Liga MX, and fans celebrated a lot when the club made it to the final of the league. However, winning it all an unprecedented feeling, and the entire stadium erupted in joy.

One particular fan whose celebration caught the eye of many was the 91-year-old fan, Edmundo Iniguez, who had been waiting for this day for decades. As Atlas FC finally won the Liga MX again, Iniguez shed tears of j0y, celebrating with his family.
Outside of the stadium, fans flooded the streets to celebrate their team’s victory, as seeing Atlas win the league was a new experience for most of them. Undoubtedly, it was a beautiful day in Guadalajara that will go down in history.

“The truth is that the mentality that we have built with these guys, with this institution, is very strong. And today, this proves it,” Cocca said.
