With the World Cup in Qatar coming up, players are desperate to do everything they can to make it to the tournament. 32 nations have made it to the finals and one of them is the USMNT. Gregg Berhalter’s men had a relatively good run in World Cup Qualifying and made it to Qatar in the end, albeit with some drama.

The USMNT now has just four months to prepare for the World Cup, and Berhalter has to figure out two key areas. The roles of a goalkeeper and a striker are not yet fixed in the USMNT as several players have been tried, but none of them stuck.

One of those goalkeepers is Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Ethan Horvath. However, the 27-year-old found game time hard to come by as he only made six appearances in the English Championship. Forrest has now been promoted to the Premier League, and this is a golden chance for Horvath to make his mark.

Nottingham Forrest sign Dean Henderson

However, Forrest has now signed Manchester United number two Dean Henderson on a season-long loan. Henderson is one of the best keepers in the Prem and will surely be ahead of Horvath in the manager, Steve Cooper’s eyes.

The Englishman had previously had a brilliant loan spell with Sheffield United, and will now try to prove his form and get back in the England side before the World Cup. On the other hand, Horvath will need to look for game time again, and as a result, the 27-year-old might look for a new club.
