The USMNT has an amazing group of young players who keep getting better every single day. Players like Christian Pulisic, Giovanni Reyna, and Weston McKennie are the best players in the team and are all below the age of 23. The RB Leipzig star, Tyler Adams, is no different.

The central defensive midfielder joined Leipzig from New York Red Bulls in 2019 and has gone from strength to strength since then. He made his USMNT debut in 2017 and has made 17 appearances for his nation in the last few years, becoming a key part in recent months.

Ahead of the World Cup in Qatar, the next few months will be very important for Adams and his form.

Leeds United wants to sign Tyler Adams

His performances in Germany haven’t gone unnoticed, as several teams have registered an interest in signing the young star. At one point, Arsenal was also being linked with a move for him. Currently, Premier League club Leeds United is the club that is in the running to sign Adams.

Leeds recently sold their own CDM, Kalvin Phillips, to Manchester City for a hefty price tag of over $60 million. They are now looking to reinvest in the squad and believe that Adams will be a good replacement for the England international.

According to a report from The Athletic, Adams isn’t the only name on Leeds United’s shortlist. However, it does seem like he is at the top of that list.

The American Revolution at Leeds

Leeds sacked their beloved manager, Marcelo Bielsa, this year and appointed Jesse Marsch as their manager. The American coach has done a good job at the club and managed to keep the club in the Premier League after relegation fears.

He has now planning to sign a few players for next season and one of the first players that Leeds United signed is Brenden Aaronson, a great USMNT prospect. Aaronson had played for Marsch before and he’ll relish the opportunity of teaming up with his countryman in England.
