Cristiano Ronaldo sent shockwaves across the world when he returned to the Premier League to play for Manchester United. In the same window, Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan for a reported sum of 97.5m pounds. Ronaldo and Lukaku competed against each other in Serie A last year for the golden boot which was eventually won by the ex-Juventus talisman. Continuing their rivalry to the Premier League, this season looks set to be filled with goals.

Chelsea forwards so far has scored 3 goals for the Blues. He made his debut against city rivals and Arsenal and scored a goal. He then had a quiet game against top 4 challengers Liverpool but made up for it by scoring a brace against Aston Villa last night. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo had a scintillating return at Old Trafford by scoring a brace against Newcastle.

So far, Lukaku has scored 3 goals in 3 matches while the 36-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo has already scored 2 goals in 1 game. As the title race and the race for golden boot is heating up, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was quipped about it. Surprisingly, the German was very unenthusiastic about it and expressed his lack of appreciation towards it. ?I couldn?t care as long as Lukaku scores for us. Honestly, I don?t care!? said the Chelsea boss.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku are arguably amongst the most lethal finishers around the world. It is natural that they score a lot of goals. What is rare is to have two prolific strikers playing in the same league and competing for the golden boot not once but twice.
