The USMNT has been playing well in recent years and has improved in leaps and bounds. The team’s captain Christian Pulisic has had a role in that as the youngster has been in fine form for his nation. However, Captain America has struggled to find a spot for himself at his club.
Pulisic started off at Dortmund and got his big-money move to Chelsea in 2019. A lot of things were expected of the young man, but he has failed to deliver on any of them. Pulisic doesn’t have a spot in Chelsea’s starting eleven. Injuries have troubled him a lot, but even so, he hasn’t featured much in Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Craig Burley reacts to Pulisic’s father’s tweet
As a result, the tweet that his father posted would not come as a surprise to anyone. Mark Pulisic, posted a tweet saying how much Pulisic likes his teammates and the club, and that it was sad, presumably because he was linked with a move away from the club.
ESPN journalist and former footballer himself Craig Burley gave his own take on the situation. He didn’t understand why his father was making a tweet like that and questioned Pulisic’s qualities as a player. Burley speculated that Tuchel probably thought someone else would make more of an impact on the pitch than Pulisic.
“This is not kindergarten school football here. This is jobs, this is billions of dollars, this is livelihoods. Managers make big decisions and there are a lot of frustrations but Christian Pulisic seems to be a player who a? lot of coaches recently haven’t seen to be a guy who comes off the bench and does that pretty well,” Burley said.
