Spiderman: No Way Home has been a huge hit at the box office as Tom Holland and Zendaya enjoy their success as Marvel superstars. The British actor has become one of the most well-known faces on the Earth and has a great future ahead of him in the film industry.

Like a true Brit, he also has a great passion for football (soccer) and has revealed in several interviews that his favorite team is Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. His entire family is also avid watchers of the sport.

In a video for LAD Bible, Holland and his co-star Zendaya take part in a game called “agree to disagree”. Both of them were asked questions about putting Pineapple on Pizza, and if British food is better than American food. However, things got interesting when they were asked to agree or disagree with the fact that American football is better than soccer.

Zendaya disagreed, and Holland slid his glass across the table to indicate that he strongly disagreed with that opinion. “I just will never understand why it’s called football, ’cause they don’t use their feet. I just don’t understand why it’s called football,” Holland said.

Yeah, it should be called something different maybe,” Zendaya agreed with him.

“Throwball. Whatever you wanna call it. But you don’t kick it,” Holland said. His American counterpart corrected him that people do kick the ball in American football as well, but only once.

Holland then went on to say that while he does appreciate American football, soccer is the greatest sport of all time. He also mentioned that he met Messi in the Ballon d’Or ceremony and was ecstatic about meeting him.

I like American football and I can respect the athleticism and the strategic aspects of the sport, but football is the greatest sport of all time. I mean, it is the world sport. We went to the Ballon d’Or the other day and we met Messi. It was crazy,” Tom Holland added.
