Soccer is the biggest sport on the planet and it attracts people of all ages and classes. For example, Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took control of Welsh club Wrexham FC in February last year, but like all football clubs have proved, owning a football club is not as dreamy as it sounds.

Both the superstars invested a total of 2 million pounds in the club and want to help uplift the club. Meanwhile, they showed everyone how much it all mattered to them when both of them donated a further 10,000 pounds to a charity after a Wrexham FC player tragically lost his son.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney show their support to Jordan Davies

Davies is a midfielder for Wrexham FC and he was expecting a baby with his partner Kelsey Edwards. However, things went horribly wrong for the couple when their baby, Andrew, was “born sleeping”.

The couple set up a GoFundMe page where they shared the whole story. The proceeds from the page will go to Sands, the Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Society. It was on this GoFundMe page that Reynolds and McElhenney donated the money.

Talking about the entire ordeal, the couple revealed that the midwives weren’t at fault at all and that they received a lot of support in these trying times.

Our baby boy, Arthur Andrew Davies was born sleeping on the 14th December 2021. The support we received during this time was amazing. The midwives provided around the clock care and made sure we were comfortable and they really couldn’t do enough for us,” they said.

The moving tribute on the GoFundMe page

The couple also talked about the time that they got to spend with their son, and the support during the entire process. Additionally, they also revealed that the midwives provided them with a memory box to help cherish those memories.

We were given the time we needed with our boy and were supported throughout. They also provided us with a memory box with things to cherish forever. We are forever grateful for Sands and all the staff in the Wrexham Maelor. Sweet dreams my sweet boy,” they concluded.
