The USMNT has grown a lot in the past few years, with several players coming through the ranks. However, one man brought the current era of the country’s football team forward; the USMNT captain, Christian Pulisic. The 23-year-old forward is currently playing for Chelsea in England.

He started out his professional club career at Dortmund and impressed the world before finally getting his move to the London club in 2019. The forward hasn’t had the best time at the club, and things haven’t gone as well as they could’ve gone.

Christian Pulisic reveals what the club owner after his first goals for the club

Pulisic has struggled with a lot of injury problems at the club, but he has impressed every time he has played for the club. This was the case when Pulisic scored his first two goals for the club, a brace against RB Salzburg in their UEFA Champions League match in the Red Bull Arena.

After his goals, Pulisic revealed that he spoke to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and the Russian oligarch had a few kind words for the USMNT star.

It wasn’t what I was thinking about. It’s great, he said hello to us after and it was a good night. He said ‘welcome to the club’, just being nice,” Pulisic said.

Pulisic reveals how he felt after scoring for the club

Pulisic did take some time to score his first goals for the club, and he felt relieved after scoring his first goals. He also added that Chelsea’s team has a lot of quality and that he can help with that. Moreover, he thought that he could mix with the group and perform as a team.

It was a big relief to score my first goals for Chelsea. A great win and to do it in that manner and it felt great adapting to the new team. This team has a lot of quality. I can help with it for sure. From a similar position I can mix with these guys well, we can score our goals and do our thing,” the forward added.
