Football shoes are a major part of a footballer’s life and, hence, companies flock to create and revolutionize the best shoes for their players. Puma is a giant in this industry and has routinely come up with some beautiful shoes to help its athletes conquer the world of football.
There’s a recent movement in the world of synthetic products where companies are trying to cut animal-based and turn to veganism. Puma joined in when they started manufacturing their version of “Vegan” boots; shoes that are made from animal-free materials.
This time, the sports giant has announced that they have launched the first-ever football shoe that is completely “vegan”. They sell for around 200 Euros in the UK. These shoes come in three colors- Ivory Glow, Puma Black, and Green Glare.

Puma explains how the “Vegan” shoes are made
Puma explained on their website that they are making a concentrated effort to increase vegan products for its customers. They explained how the synthetic mesh and the polyurethane soles do not involve any animal products on their own, but the process of production might involve some animal-based products.
“Stearic Acids, which can be used as additives in the production process, often are derived from animal fats. Glues may contain bones, hides, rabbit skin, hoofs or gelatine. So, if we want to make a vegan product, we have to make sure that none of those ingredients is used,” the website read.

The superstars who are a part of Puma
Cristiano Ronaldo is the face of Nike, and Lionel Messi is the face of Adidas. Naturally, Puma went after the third biggest superstar in the world of football, Neymar Jr. The Brazilian star left Nike in 2020 and became the brand ambassador of Puma. He’s still the biggest star in the world of football, and his achievements speak for the same.
