Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most entertaining footballers on the planet, who even at 40, is good enough to play for one of the best clubs in Serie A, AC Milan. The Swedish international has played for a lot of big clubs in his shimmering career, including French giants, Paris Saint Germain.

Hence, Zlatan has a good relationship with the PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, having spent several years at the Parisian club. He scored 156 goals for PSG and is second on the list of the top scorers in Paris; Uruguay International Edinson Cavani is first with 200 goals.

However, it’s the player in third place who is making headlines right now. In a short span, 22-year-old Kylian Mbappe has scored 141 goals for the club already. Undoubtedly, he will surpass both Cavani and Zlatan’s records by next season. However, given the rumors surrounding his transfer to Real Madrid, that feat seems unlikely.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals what he told Kylian Mbappe and the PSG president

In an interview with Corriere Della Sera, Ibrahimovic talked about Mbappe’s situation and revealed what advice he had for the youngster.

I advised Mbappe to leave PSG. He needs a more structured environment like Real Madrid,” Zlatan said.

However, the Swedish superstar didn’t stop there and added that he also shared a rather contradictory piece of advice with the PSG president, leaving fans puzzled.

But I also told the PSG president not to sell him,” he added.

It would make sense for PSG to keep Mbappe, given his potential and caliber. At just 22, the young Frenchman is already a world cup winner, and he still has at least 10 more years of top-flight football in front of him.

Kylian Mbappe and his current contract situation

Unquestionably, Real Madrid are a much bigger club, given their European history. Notably, Mbappe was an avid Madrid fan growing up, who idolized Cristiano Ronaldo. To acquire him, Madrid had submitted a 200 million euro bid for the forward earlier, which PSG, shockingly, refused.

Mbappe has six months left on his current contract and if he doesn’t sign another deal with PSG, the French Ligue 1 winners might lose their player for free in the summer transfer window. Do you think the Frenchman will move to Spain next season?
