Football is a highly commercialized sport, with a lot of money involved in all areas surrounding it. As a result, it’s no surprise to see that the focal point of the industry, the footballers, are getting paid more money by the day. The latest example pointing towards this shift is the transfer saga surrounding Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe is a 23-year-old forward, and he has been among the best players in the world for a long time now. The forward has also won the World Cup and has been outstanding for his nation, France. At club level, Mbappe plays for Paris Saint Germain, a club where he has scored 100 goals in just five seasons.
Mbappe has turned into a superstar at the club and is arguably the best player in a team that boasts the likes of Neymar Jr and Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi. However, his contract at the club is expiring in just six months.

The Frenchman has been routinely linked with a move to the Spanish club, Real Madrid. In fact, the Los Blancos even made a 200 million dollar bid for him, but PSG rejected it. The Parisian club wants to keep Mbappe at all costs, and they have a lot of money to spare.
According to reports, PSG is set to offer Mbappe a new deal to make him stay at the club. The numbers are mind-blowing as the superstar will reportedly earn 1 million euros a week if he accepts it. Real Madrid will supposedly also pay him a similar amount, and the forward will have a tough decision to make in July.
