The 2021/22 season is coming to an end in football and we get closer to the biggest matches of the season. Several leagues have now been decided while we get a close race in England and Italy. However, the biggest match of them all is the UEFA Champions League final.
The most prestigious competition in club football returns one last time on May 28th as Liverpool will take on Real Madrid in a repeat of the 2018 edition of the tournament. The match will take place at the Stade de France in Paris and will have a special guest.
Cuban-American singer and songwriter Camila Cabello is going to step on the pitch minutes before kick-off to perform a medley of her hits. She announced the collaboration on Instagram with a caption saying that she had more surprises in store for all of her fans.

Liverpool and Real Madrid’s journey to the final
With Cabello’s addition, the final would promise to be a highly entertaining affair. However, both Real Madrid and Liverpool have ensured that there was plenty of drama throughout the tournament.
Liverpool arrived at this stage relatively unscathed but faltered in the semi-final against Villareal. The Spanish club looked set to mount an upset after scoring two goals in the first half of their second-leg match, but Liverpool scored three in the second half to put the tie to bed.
On the other hand, Real Madrid have shown everyone why they have won the Champions League a record-breaking 13 times. The Los Blancos were on the brink of defeat in all three knockout stages before mounting an unlikely comeback and scraping through.

Real Madrid and their Champions League hopes
Madrid beat the holders of the trophy, Chelsea, the Premier League champions and finalists of the last edition, Manchester City, and Paris Saint Germain to get to this stage.
Karim Benzema has been instrumental in getting the club here, as he has scored 10 goals in the knockout stages of this tournament. It’ll be interesting to see if he can take them over the final hurdle.
