Pep Guardiola is one of the most successful managers in the world. During his tenures in Spain, Germany, and England, Pep had got his hands on almost every trophy.

Ever since Guardiola took control of Manchester City, he had transformed City into one of the giants of European football.

Pep’s Manchester City has absolutely dominated the Premier League in recent years, along with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. And it has been a similar story this season.

Ahead of Manchester City’s probable title decider against Liverpool this weekend, Jurgen Klopp referred to Pep as the ‘best coach in the world’.

And now, Pep Guardiola has some praise for the Liverpool manager. During an interview, Pep named Klopp as his biggest rival.

Pep said, “They [Liverpool] have been an incredible, marvelous contender, with good games. I admire Liverpool and the way they do it, but enjoy the challenge.”

“Jurgen, as a manager, has been the biggest rival I?ve ever had in my career and I think what both teams propose is good for football,” he added. (H/T: talkSPORT)

It is indeed difficult to go toe-to-toe with Guardiola and his incredibly talented Man City squad.

But Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is definitely a major hurdle in Pep’s path towards glory, both in European and domestic competitions.

Can Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool stop Pep Guardiola from winning his fourth Premier League title with Manchester City?

Both City and Liverpool got off to a great start this season. However, as the season progressed, Jurgen Klopp’s side failed to catch up with the 2020/21 Premier League Champions.

But after some disappointing results for Pep’s side, Liverpool once again finds themselves right in the battle for Klopp’s second Premier League title.

Manchester City are just one point ahead of Liverpool at the moment having played the same number of games (30).

If City can defeat Klopp’s Liverpool this Sunday, it will open up a four-point gap at the top of the table with seven games to go.

Then, it will be really difficult for Mo Salah and Co. to prevent Pep Guardiola from winning his fourth Premier League title. Thus, a lot depends on tomorrow’s big game at the Etihad Stadium.
