Paris Saint Germain wrapped up another league title this week. It was their 10th Ligue 1 title, and 8th in the last 10 years. However, despite their domestic success, fans of the club have much higher hopes from the club that employs the likes of Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi.
PSG failed to win the UEFA Champions League again this season after being knocked out in the Round of-16 by Real Madrid. It was a monumental collapse from the club, as PSG were up by 2 goals before Karim Benzema came on and scored a hat trick to win the tie.
While they failed in Europe, PSG’s Ligue 1 win should not be trivialized. Kylian Mbappe has been one of the best players in the world this season and managed to score 22 goals along with 14 assists. Messi and Neymar Jr also put in great performances from time to time to ensure that the club stays on the path to victory.

Neymar Jr responds to the club’s fans
Despite their Ligue 1 trophy, fans still expect more from this squad and showed their displeasure with the team after their UCL exit. Mbappe scored PSG’s two goals in the tie, and fans were happy with him, but Messi and Neymar weren’t spared.
The fans booed both the superstars when PSG came back to play in the Parc des Princes, much to the chagrin of most people. Neymar wasn’t happy to hear the boos either and responded to them a few months later in an interview with ESPN Argentina.
