Manchester City crushed Mohamed Salah and Liverpool’s hope of doing a Quadruple this season in a dramatic style. After getting their hands on the FA Cup and the League Cup trophy, Jurgen Klopp and his men had an eye on winning the Premier League title.
On the final match day, Liverpool looked like the favorites to win the Premier League. Liverpool won their match against Wolves. But City broke Mo Salah and others’ hearts by registering a dramatic 3-2 comeback win against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.
Recently, Salah talked about this dramatic incident to Rio Ferdinand in an interview with BT Sport. The Egyptian revealed how his teammates felt in the dressing room after falling short of the Premier League title once again.

Salah said, “After the game, honestly, everybody was in the dressing room, like, very disappointed and also like, I was really, really disappointed. But this is football. You have to accept it and also I can’t take any credit from City [Manchester City] because they are an unbelievable team. They scored three goals in six or seven minutes.”
Man City trailed Villa by 2 goals till the 75th minute. But in the 82nd minutes, they had a lead (3-2) after goals from Gundogan (2) and Rodri.
Thus, the manner in which Liverpool lost the title on the last day is indeed heartbreaking. And it is bound to make any player feel disappointed. But Jurgen Klopp and his men must be proud of themselves for delivering such brilliant performances throughout this season.
Mohamed Salah won the Premier League Golden Boot for the third time
Mohamed Salah bagged the Premier League Golden Boot award this season. The Egyptian once again proved himself in front of Jurgen Klopp and all Liverpool fans.

And Salah’s goals played a key role in Liverpool’s challenge for the title. Salah scored 23 goals and made 13 assists in 35v Premier League matches this season.
However, he is not the only player to score 23 goals this season. Spurs superstar Son Heung-min is another individual who bagged 23 goals in this year’s Premier League. Thus, Son and Salah had to share this season’s Premier League Golden Boot award.

Son scored twice on the last Premier League match while Mohamed Salah came off the bench to give Liverpool a 2-1 lead against Wolves. Both Salah and Son have been sensational for their respective teams this season in the Premier League. Thus, both men deserve this award.
